Swimming

"Go" the clappers went and I dived into the water. The coolness of the water refreshed my body and I began to swim hardcore. "One,two, three, four" I counted every stroke before I took a breath. When I did I could plainly see I was losing. Almost half way now. My legs kicked frantically and my aching bones hurt even more every time I took another stroke. Every body else was nearly finished now. I pushed forward even though I knew there was nothing I could do to change the fact that I was losing. I was the only one left swimming. One metre to go. Done.
